race helped to dial in the GT3
EVO and the reward was the
first championship points for the
number 95 of Josh Caygill, Marino
Sato, and Nico Pino. The weather
played its part, with rain falling in
the third hour, but great strategy
calls from the United Autosports
team during tricky wet/dry running
ensured both cars once again
finished, with the 95 taking sixth
place and eight points.
6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps
Both cars once again qualified for
Hyperpole, with James Cottingham
putting in an impressive opening
stint to run in second position
for the majority of the first two
hours. Brazilian Nicolas Costa
took over from Cottingham and
moved the number 59 into the lead
of the race after a thrilling battle,
before Gregoire Saucy climbed
behind the wheel for the final two
hours, retaining the class lead
until a red flag came out to halt
the action. Once racing resumed
and tyre strategies played out,
the car was classified in fourth
place, but its pace had clearly been
demonstrated and a marker had
been laid down.
