The largest and most prestigious GT3 race in the world, the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa
takes place this weekend, with a 66 car grid set to tackle the 74th edition of this world-famous
event.
McLaren Customer Racing enjoys an increased representation from last year, with 4
examples of the 720S GT3 taking part in this Belgian endurance classic.
Headlining the McLaren contingent is the Pro class entry from Customer Racing team JOTA,
who will challenge for the overall victory at this blue-riband event. Their #38 car will be helmed
by an all-factory line-up of Rob Bell, Oliver Wilkinson and Marvin Kirchhöfer. The team
achieved McLaren's best ever finish at this race in 2021 with a 7th place overall finish, a result
the team will be keen to better in 2022.
In the Gold Cup class Inception Racing will aim to extend their lead at the head of the GT
World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup standings. The team took a class win and an overall
top 10 at the previous round at Paul Ricard which has the team in good spirits for this highly
important race. The team's regular trio of Brendan Iribe, Ollie Millroy and Frederik Schandorff
are joined this weekend by 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup North America champion Sebastian
Priaulx.
